Management of the ego isn’t discussed enough in the mainstream media. However, it is used as a means to get more views on reality tv shows, talk shows, soap operas and the celebrity world. In some cultures and in most religions the ego is considered to be the cause of suffering. The constant clashing of egos is internalised and our view of reality is distorted. It causes insecurity among others, unless there’s a well-intentioned balance of self and selflessness . The ego lies deep our in our subconscious. Not knowing how to handle our ego often leads to dwelling/ rumination. It’s a repetitive behaviour. We ask the same questions over and over again hoping for an answer to come to us. This behaviour tends to cause depression. It’s not just a cycle, it’s funnel. And as we dwell and try seeing ourselves through others eyes, we go down, deeper. In my short animation and soundtrack I strived to make this phenomenon visible and audible through repetition and reflection. The soundtrack is a construction of different recorded and generated sounds.
