About me
The nature of my recently completed degree in Information Technology Management for Business at the University of the West of England (UWE) has helped prepared me for this position. Graduating with a 1st Class Honours, the course involved a great deal of independent research requiring initiative, self-motivation, team-work and a varying range of skills. An understanding of the Marketing industry was essential for the Ethical and Professional Issues in Computing and Digital Media module. I found the subject of Marketing very stimulating, and further researched into the subject during my final year dissertation entitled “Exploring the Issues Surrounding the use of Behavioural Targeting in Online Advertising”, in which I received a first-class grade. As you can see from my CV, I have experience in: • Campaign Delivery - The experience I gained from my highly coveted internship at Bloomberg LP has allowed me to learn how a huge corporation designs and develops its marketing campaigns to reach an international audience. Shadowed a project where the aim was to create an effective marketing campaign targeting potential Chinese customers using the WeChat service. • Social Media Engagement – I worked with a local music charity in Bristol as part of my degree to help rebrand their website, as well as offer guidance on how best to increase engagement across their social media accounts. • Stakeholder and Team Management – I gained experience in managing multiple stakeholders simultaneously and in leading a team during projects within both Bloomberg LP and university when I worked with a music therapy charity developing a new website and company branding. • Creative Work – I designed and developed two successful IOS applications (Impact Ball and Pivot Roll) from the initial game idea to designing all the graphics from scratch using the Photoshop suite. I created marketing materials for the apps that had a consistent, clean, visual look. This enabled the apps to be featured worldwide by Apple on the front page of the App Store. • Photoshop and Final Cut Pro Skills – During a group project at university I assumed the role of Marketing Manager. For this I created innovative marketing videos and designed posters and brochures using the Adobe Suite. I am an adaptable individual, with a strong work ethic and have a keen eye for detail taking pride and care in all projects I undertake.
