- Holi FestivalPortraits from a new personal project shot at the Holi festival in Vrindavan, India. Holi is the most intense and colourful religious festival in India, celebrated by Hindus, Sikhs and tourists alike, a riot of people throwing coloured powder and water at each other. I was really interested in what state people were in after the colours had been thrown, how their new skin totally transformed them. - Highway HeroesDriving in India is not for the faint hearted, Western road rules do not apply, especially if you’re on a motor bike with your family and half your possessions on the back. Crash helmets or any protection are a rarity. This new photo story was shot on a recent trip to Rajasthan on major highways around the state. - JubileeeeWhatever you think of the monarchy, there is no denying that the recent Platinum Jubilee was well and truly celebrated up and down the land. For a photographer it’s a dream gig with thousands of people all in a party mood as the royalist half of the population went completely nuts for the red, white and blue celebration. - Alan Powdrill - Ecuadorian CarnivalOn a recent trip to Ecuador, South America, Alan found himself in the middle of carnival season, traditionally celebrated in Catholic countries just before Lent. In the middle of the country is a town called Ambato famous for the “Fiesta de Frutas y Flores” (Festival of Fruits and Flowers). The festival was started after a major earthquake destroyed Ambato in 1949, to celebrate the resilience of the people and the land.
