The Assistant Producer: Young Peoples Programme will be integral to the smooth delivery of a new pilot youth programme.
The programme will consist of two cohorts of young people , who will each take part in a 12-week multi-faceted, social media programme with a focus on content creation. Participants will take part in onsite workshops to gain social media and marketing skills and aim to engage a young audience with the British Library’s collection. Alongside this will be a summer pop-up aimed at a younger demographic.
The programme aims to connect a younger audience to the library's collection through engaging social media videos – produced by the young cohorts we recruit. As part of the programme, each cohort will also plan an event held at the library, which will be streamed live on TikTok and YouTube, further encouraging online conversation. The programme aims to champion co-creation, allowing the participants to shape and create the content produced whilst also working alongside key teams at the library to ensure goals are met.
