Description

At Warner Music Group, we’re a global collective of music makers and music lovers, tech innovators and inspired entrepreneurs, game-changing creatives and passionate team members. Here, we know that each talent makes our collective bolder and brighter. We are guided by four core principles that underpin everything we do across all our diverse businesses:
  • Music is Everything: Music is our passion, and we can never get enough. Tastes, trends, and tech will change, but great artists and songwriters will always be our driving force.
  • Global Growth, Local Expertise: Music is a global language. Through communication and collaboration, our success can come from anywhere and translate everywhere.
  • Innovation and Insight: Pushing the boundaries requires the best information and the boldest imagination. We use both to create the future.
  • Empowered by People: Like the artists we serve and the music they make, our differences make us stronger. This is a place where every talent can belong and build a career.
We remain committed to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. We know it fosters a culture where you can truly belong, contribute, and grow. We encourage applications from people of any age, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, religion, ethnicity, disability, veteran status, and any other characteristic or identity.
Consider a career at WMG and get the best of both worlds – an innovative global music company that retains the creative spirit of a nimble independent.
Job Title: Global Catalogue Intern (12 Month FTC)
Please note: The closing date for this role is Friday 3rd May 2024. 1st stage virtual interviews for this role will take place the week commencing May 20th 2024 and the in-person assessment day will be on May 29th 2024 in our London office.

A little bit about our team:
Global Catalogue is both the communication centre between Warner Music Catalogue labels and International Territories around the world, and the paramount frontier for marketing artists in the streaming era. We work closely with all labels and artists under the Recorded Music division to develop new catalogue opportunities in marketing, A&R, content development, and consumption, and then convert our findings into new strategies that are deployed across the company to our Catalogue teams around the world.
With catalogues from great heritage acts such as Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac, David Bowie, Pink Floyd, Phil Collins, The Doors, Aretha Franklin, Joni Mitchell, Madonna, Prince, Eric Clapton, New Order, to more current artists such as Ed Sheeran, Lizzo, Twenty One Pilots, Bruno Mars, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Muse & Coldplay, Birdy, Sia, Charlie Puth, Michael Bublé, Charlie XCX, Cardi B and many more… the Warner Music catalogue is a rich and varied one that requires constant management and reinvention.
This can vary from reimagining a classic album, creating and promoting a playlist managed by us or encouraging consumption of key tracks on streaming services, through to maintaining artist profile with digital suppliers and communicating with consumers and fans via social media and other online channels.
Your role:
Providing support for the Global Catalogue marketing department and working as part of this tight team, this role will allow you to learn about and get involved in different aspects of what the team is working on.
Here you’ll get to:
Assist the Digital Marketing Team:
  • You will get to work with the team on the planning and execution of Seasonal campaigns spanning multiple artists (eg Christmas, Valentine’s Day etc)
  • Assist the team on the planning, execution and reporting of paid and organic social campaigns for our priority artists
  • Manage multiple TikTok accounts that showcase our artists globally. This includes uploading content, writing copy, keeping on top of trends and working with the team to build following for the pages
  • Assist with communicating, compiling and analysing results of monthly Spotify ad campaigns
  • Set up, manage and optimise our global streaming/pre-order/buy links using Linkfire
  • Manage the organisation of our team priorities planner, keeping up to date with project amendments and communicating within the team regularly
  • Assist on co-ordinating our Global Digital Paid Media campaigns - interacting with and providing support to marketing teams in other countries and internal team members
Assist with International Marketing Communications:
  • You will support our international communications team that is responsible for sharing new release and marketing information globally with contacts in our territories around the world.
  • Maintain and distribute international release schedules weekly
  • Create, manage and communicate a weekly bulletin email update to all Global Catalogue contacts
  • Collate and distribute release solicitations (information for gauging sales estimates) to the international territories
  • You will provide general admin support for the wider Global Catalogue team (e.g. booking meeting rooms and managing conference lines)
  • You will be handling promotional stocks (ordering, receiving and distribution of promotional stocks).
  • Manage and distribute weekly global priorities update emails to teams across the world
About you:
We are looking for creative individuals with a passion for music – new and old – who are ready to bring lots of new ideas to the table, in order to become an integral part of the team.
You will need to be extremely well organised, have impeccable attention to detail and have a desire to work across different geographies and cultures, learn and develop during your year in Global Catalogue.
You’ll be a brilliant team player with particular enthusiasm for communicating – whether that’s with a colleague in person or on a phone call, via email or video call, or when communicating with fans.
We’d love it if you also had:
  • Broad range of musical knowledge
  • Copywriting skills
  • Proficiency using Google Workspace - Sheets, Slides, Docs, Gmail
  • Experience in using social media (in particular TikTok, Facebook, Instagram) for marketing/promotion. This could include managing social pages, writing copy, building following etc.
  • Adaptability – this is a very busy team and at times things need to be dropped to get a different task done or to assist another team member.
