Description

L’Oréal CPD UKI is looking for a Head of Advocacy & Community for Garnier. As the Head of Advocacy & Community, you will set & implement our vision to be the most talked about, most loved, and most futureproofed care brand in the industry. You will lead your team to drive a forward-thinking social strategy across all channels – ensuring we’re always present & relevant on the trending platforms, creating insight-led engaging content, inventing stand out events, and being the quickest to jump onto the latest trends.
In addition, you’ll set a clear Advocacy strategy and frame for the team to land – ensuring we’re building our brands with the most relevant people & partners – from celebrity spokespeople, to influencers, to celebrities, to journalists, and relevant brands & charity partners.
Finally, you’ll be obsessed with bringing our real-life consumers into our brand – through overseeing a Community manager and e-advisors, as well as exploring new ways to build strong communities within our brand and creating engaging content at scale for our own social platforms. You will work closely with the CDMO team & the CPD Head of Digital transformation and be a key pioneer of Advocacy & Community for Digital-native brands within the Group.

A DAY IN THE LIFE
On LEADERSHIP
  • Manage, coach & grow a strong team of 5 across Advocacy brand managers (driving organic LOVE via relationships, seeding & events) & Community and Owned Social. Plus coordinating the advocacy tribe which also includes paid social brand managers (focusing on content that wins) to ensure a cohesive total brand advocacy strategy. Ensuring we have the right profiles & ways of working in place to maximize our brands’ vision?
  • Act as a key expert & consultant on the Garnier Management Committee working closely with Brand Business Leaders responsible for the categories to ensure brand KPIs are being met?•Be a key close partner for our UKI CDMO team, as well as our Digital & Ecommerce teams?
  • Building close partnerships with relevant external stakeholders – such as Platform leads, retailers, talent agencies, local spokespeople.?•Sharing best practices & knowledge across the Consumer Products Division
On ADVOCACY:
  • Drive the vision for Garnier advocacy to prioritise brand love & talkability, with a future-proofed strategy on:
- Platforms: coordinating the social tribe to ensure all content is hyper-relevant & forward thinking. Overseeing the team’s real-time analysis of what’s working & not and always optimizing.
- People: setting a clear vision for your team on our celebrity spokesperson & influencer strategy in partnership with our brands, developing close relationships with relevant stakeholders & exploring new, relevant opportunities
- Partnerships: working closely with our PR, brand & charity partners, overseeing the Comms plan to ensure best-in-class partnerships with our key stakeholders, and creating cut-through events & brand moments to engage our communities.
On COMMUNITY:
  • Support the Community Lead in ensuring we’re constantly engaging in conversation with our consumers – overseeing all frontline agents (Consumer Care, e-MUAs) to ensure we have a robust service strategy and a 100% responsiveness on own channels
  • Oversee our Community-led platforms such as My Garnier Community and integrating them into our advocacy strategy.
