We are looking for a Marketing Assistant to help implement a broad programme of marketing activity to contribute to the achievement of the RSC's strategic plans. In this role you will also provide some more general support to the Marketing Department, work collaboratively with our other Marketing Assistant and, more widely, with staff across the organisation.
In this position, some of your responsibilities will include:
  • To support the marketing campaign team on productions and broader RSC commercial activity, including providing administrative support, submitting artwork briefs and the day-to-day duties required for the delivery of online and offline campaign activity.
  • Working with the team's other Marketing Assistant to support and coordinate the production of front of house artwork and displays.
  • Working with the team's other Marketing Assistant to support and coordinate all marketing print, including overseeing department print deliveries.
  • To lead on and take ownership of specific areas of work/projects, as agreed with Line Manager.
  • To lead on the coordination and booking of all Stratford print distribution.
  • Support and assist on any events undertaken by the Stratford Marketing team.
To be suitable for this role, you must have:
  • A demonstrable interest in a career in arts marketing
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent eye for detail
  • Experience of working as part of a small team
  • Ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with key RSC departments, personnel and external suppliers
  • Ability to prioritise and work flexibly within a busy and varied workload
  • Ability to work alone and use initiative
  • Able to undertake physical duties
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
You will be part of a busy team that makes a huge impact through the work that they produce; this role covers a broad range of work which will give the post holder the opportunity to be involved and exposed to many aspects of marketing. An interest in live arts and entertainment are helpful for this role.
This is a full time, permanent position and the normal working hours are Monday to Friday, 10am until 6pm and requires a significant amount of the week working from the Stratford-upon-Avon office. Some evening and weekend work may be required, as well as occasional travel.
