Job Title:  Music Consultant – Production Music
A little bit about our team:
Warner Chappell Production Music is a global leader in music production and creative supervision. We offer audio solutions to a vast network of clients throughout the UK and Ireland. You will represent our diverse catalogue and labels, home to a range of sounds and styles covering genres from grime, rock, pop, electro, world cultures and classical. We pride ourselves on authenticity with a substantial recording archive going back 80 years.
Your role:
As a Music Consultant, you will be a key member of the UK Production Music team, providing excellent customer service, creative and licensing advice to our UK and EIRE based clients.
You will manage your own set of allocated clients and support the Production Music Sales Manager, UK in sales administration and research tasks to maximise licensing opportunities and growing Warner Chappell’s offering across the TV, advertising, branded content, and gaming industries.
Here you’ll get to:
  • Manage incoming music briefs, assuring clients’ needs are met creativity and to deadline.
  • Manage new and existing customer facing playlists from our production music catalogue(s), making sure they are regularly updated, reflective of music trends and relevant to our clients’ production slates.
  • Account manage allocated clients, by building meaningful relationships, advising on MCPS/ PRS licensing agreements and proactive music pitching, while providing best-in-class customer service.
  • Support the wider team by utilising external and internal tools for research to help identify new business and sync opportunities.
  • Support the team’s marketing activity when appropriate.
  • Attend relevant industry and networking events to promote WCPM’s music, industry presence and generate new industry contacts.
  • General admin tasks.
About you:
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a direct sales or customer facing role.
  • Obsessed with music in all its forms, particularly as it applies to synchronisation.
  • A creative with an entrepreneurial spirit, who’s excited to contribute to a team’s success.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organisation skills.
  • Confident and comfortable in presenting to clients.
We’d love it if you also had:
Some experience within the broadcast, advertising or music industries, and an understanding of MCPS/ PRS broadcast blankets and IPC rates, and relevant license terms would be beneficial. Relevant education qualification(s) is a bonus, but not a deal breaker!
