The A Side: A Day in The Life
This role will look after Product Development, Production and Logistics for all new “incubation” product ranges across D2C and Tour.
The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in a similar role and a sound understanding of PD, Production and shipping / 3PL relations.
In addition this role requires strong customer service / communication skills and experience as will work very closely with Brand Management as well as building strong relations with Front Line UMG Labels.
The B Side: Skills & Experience
Be Organised
  • Create and Manage a sampling CP. Once confirmed adding this info to the Critical Path, checking Aprimo link contains the minimum information – blanks, artwork, tech packs
  • Sampling styles with vendors, inspecting and sending for final approval.
  • Setting up new items in Navision, including Barcodes.
  • Sourcing where necessary and entering commodity codes and country of origin.
  • Add orders received from the UK + INTL territories onto the D2C Tracker.
  • Raise purchase Orders in Navision. Send PO to suppliers, along with our packing + delivery requirements.
  • Check and update Packing lists against our PO’s in Navision and receive the goods in the system.
  • If any Intl orders are received – raising SO’s on Navision to invoice the territories.
  • Requesting tracking numbers and packing lists from suppliers and sharing with the teams as needed.
  • Checking the Monday board for any order updates and packing lists for orders.
  • Updating the Open PO Tracker (shared tracker with UMG and 3PL) on a daily basis.
  • Updating the projected delivery date column once supplier has confirmed.
  • Update Packing List and Delivery dates + tracking numbers on the Open PO Tracker. Highlighting discrepancies between packing lists and booked in stock.
  • Where required book and track air & sea shipments from suppliers.
  • Managing manual order picks with 3PL.
Be Analytical
  • Once samples arrive, inspect and measure to ensure they match tech packs and CAD. If not highlighting to suppliers to rework.
  • Monitoring open orders and chasing suppliers for updates to ensure they are delivered within specified lead times
  • Monitoring the D2C COMPS TRACKER – dealing with any stock requests from BM, D2C, etc
Be Collaborative
  • Where required provide Brand Managers with possible product options for campaigns, including lead-times and COGS.
  • Once a campaign is finalised confirm range assortment between territories – UK, Europe and US.
  • Sharing costs + Transfer pricing with territories.
  • Working with nominated supplier to monitor our live samples in work, solve any artwork/blank issues.
  • Dealing with approvals with Brand Management and sending over relevant feedback for any reworks.
  • Deal with all queries – supplier, D2C team, territories are Brand Management may have.
  • Work with finance to process for invoicing.
  • Supporting finance on any supplier queries and ensuring our PO’s match the financials.
  • Dealing with packing list QTY issues with suppliers and Ingram.
  • Once goods have delivered – chase suppliers for the tracking number, packing lists if not already received.
Be Strategic
  • Source products with suppliers, confirming MOQ, costings and lead-times.
  • Negotiating best costs and Leadtime’s with suppliers.
Person Specification
Necessary
  • Proven track record in a similar role and a sound understanding of PD, Production and shipping / 3PL relations.
  • Strong customer service / communication skills and experience as will work very closely with Brand Management as well as building strong relations with Front Line UMG Labels
  • Experience of using Navision
  • Experience working with UK & International territories
  • Able to juggle multiple tasks at any one time with various stakeholders ensuring key deliverables are met
