The Production and Commissioning Operations team play a fundamental role in supporting the commissioning process within the UK team. The department leads and manages commercial and operational support for Paramount UK Commissions.
The candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that productions flow smoothly through the commissioning process. You will serve as the primary point of contact, offering invaluable support to producers throughout the production and commissioning journey. The role will include overseeing the post-production process, managing the Paramount Production Hub webpage, and maintaining real-time data capture and analysis for critical reporting.
The candidate will be accountable for ensuring that all commissioned content meets the required timely quality standards and documentation while also contributing to Paramount's broader initiatives in Sustainability and Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion. The role will be responsible for handling administrative tasks, offering support to the wider team and participating in projects that foster a collaborative and cohesive working environment.
What will you be doing?
  • Play a pivotal role in managing the end-to-end process of commissioned content across Paramount UK
  • Act as the key point of contact for all internal and external queries, providing support to producers during the production and commissioning process.
  • Manage production invoice payment system together with post-production paperwork deliverables across Paramount UK’s commissioned content, ensuring all documentation is reviewed in real-time and all requirements and quality standards are met
  • Coordinate Paramount’s Production Hub webpage, ensuring technical specifications and key documents are up-to-date
  • Play a central role in updating the commissioned content slate, helping to track all programming across Paramount UK
  • Take ownership of real-time data capture and analysis to produce critical reports for distribution throughout the company
  • Oversee the correct production documentation is in place and archived for all programming, including the organisation of contracts, insurance, budgets, schedules, and final cost reports
  • Play a pivotal role in driving Paramount’s Sustainability and Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion initiatives
  • Manage the production insurance process and address issues promptly
  • Required to provide support to business and production roles to act as cover as required
  • Manage and support local or long-range department or business projects as directed
  • Drive the 'One Paramount' approach, role modelling great teamwork and collaboration
What are we looking for?
  • Experience working in an operational role in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Confidence in working with a variety of IT systems and software - with proficiency in Microsoft Office, and a strong knowledge of Excel
  • Strong numerical and financial literacy, with an understanding of invoicing and purchase orders
  • Strong understanding of post-production paperwork, with knowledge of industry-specific tools like Albert Sustainability and Diamond Diversity
  • Skilled in clear and effective verbal and written communication
  • A rigorous and methodical approach to work, incorporating attention to detail and quality control in all tasks, while understanding the impact of downstream workflows
  • Excellent teamwork and project management skills
  • A self-starting and proactive approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving
  • Effective multitasking and prioritisation skills
  • Forward-thinking with the ability to identify and address potential issues
  • Ability to work constructively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to learn and apply new concepts, processes, and systems quickly
  • Experience working in the broadcasting or television production industry is highly desirable
