The Role…
The Accounts Payable Team in Soho House Retail is an important function that requires people with vision, the ability to deliver to deadline, embrace change, love great customer service, and enjoy working for a dynamic expanding business in the Retail industry. The Team is responsible for payment of all overheads, expenses and stock incurred by the global Soho House Retail team, managing supplier accounts and resolving queries promptly and accurately and efficiently. Soho House Retail comprises of Soho Home and Cowshed and this role works on both.
The Accounts Payable Supervisor will be responsible for managing the AP team and overseeing the team paying suppliers within agreed timeframes, resolving queries in a timely manner, maintaining good supplier relationships as well as clean ledgers, with individual supplier accounts clean and up to date. The AP Supervisor is also responsible for managing our key accounts to ensure agreed terms are met, dealing with more complex queries raised by the AP team and acting as a point of contact between all departments and the AP team.
Main Duties…
  • Act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
  • Act as key AP contact for the rollout of Business Central
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure best practice within the AP team
  • Owning the intercompany Sales Ledger/Purchase Ledger reconciliations
  • Ensuring the POP (GRNI) Report is carefully managed, overseeing the team posting to manage the size of the report
  • Regular statement reconciliations of all suppliers across all entities
  • Investigating and resolution of supplier queries
  • Maintaining relationships with Key Suppliers resolving all queries, keeping accounts up to date and ensuring we remain within agreed terms
  • Assisting with debit balances, requesting refunds where appropriate
  • Supporting any process and system changes that are implemented for the improvement of the AP Process and deliverables
  • Invoice processing
  • Raising Inter-company journals
  • Managing a generic mailbox
  • Pulling together supplier payment runs
  • Any other ad hoc duties as requested by the line manager
What We Are Looking For…
  • Experience in processing high volumes of invoices
  • Experience in stock heavy business
  • Experience with proforma/deposit payments
  • Excellent level of competency in statement reconciliations
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating an ability to adapt to change.
  • Takes initiative while retaining collaborative approach to work.
  • Intermediate Excel Skills
  • Experience of Sage
  • Ideally experience of Business Central
  • Ideally experience of Continia document scanning (or similar)
